The village of Anan is less than one hour from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and lies within the heart of agricultural France. 

The property is located between the villages of Anan and Saint Laurent, being five minutes from both. There is a traditional village bakery and grocery store in Saint Laurent; the baker passes the house daily with bread, pastries and everyday essentials.

The thriving town of L’Isle en Dodon is less than 10 minutes away, whilst Saint Gaudens, the region's fast growing administrative and retail centre, is about 40 minutes away.

Many local towns have thriving weekly markets.

The following attractions all lie within an hour and a half of the house:

  • Toulouse, France’s fourth largest city, is home to Airbus Industries, the European Space Project, Orchestre du Capitole and a famous rugby team. ‘La ville rose' is a beautiful, vibrant, university city, where absolutely everything can be found.
  • In the other direction are Lourdes and Pau. Pau, with its historic connections to Henry IV, is often known as the ‘most English city’ in France, with an Anglican church, curry houses, golf club, and even a cricket team!
  • The region of Gascony lies immediately to the north, offering vineyards, Armagnac, foie gras, agricultural and antique markets.
  • The Pyrenees offer many high quality winter sports resorts. Scenic walks, rambles, or more challenging climbs can be enjoyed during the summer. .
  • The gateway to Spain across the Pyrenees is via the picturesque Val d’Aran, and  is reached in less than an hour.
  • For those who enjoy watching or participating in sporting activities, there are 9 and 18 hole golf courses, tennis clubs, riding schools, canoeing, rugby and soccer clubs…
